Promotion of the Diploma Supplement

The National Europass Centre, at the National Qualifications Authority of Ireland promotes the coordination and implementation of the Diploma Supplement on the part of the awarding bodies. To help fulfil this role, the National Diploma Supplement Steering Group was re-established in 2007 with the following objectives:

  1. To support effective implementation of the Diploma Supplement (DS) in higher education institutions (HEIs) in Ireland.
  2. To act as a channel by which any required changes in either the template itself or text of the DS can be discussed and communicated to all HEIs.
  3. To act as a central point for sharing experiences and best practices on implementation of the DS, in addition to identifying possible solutions to issues that have arisen.
  4. To act as a central point for those who seek information on the DS in Ireland.
  5. To make suggestions to the EU on matters relating to the DS.
